คนทํางาน หมายถึง คนที่ทํางานในสถานประกอบการทั้งที่ได้รับเงินเดือนและไม่ได้รับเงินเดือนที่สถานประกอบการมีอยู่ตามปกติรวมทั้งผู้ที่ปกติทํางานอยู่ในสถานประกอบการแห่งนี้แต่ในวันดังกล่าวไม่ได้มาทํางาน เนื่องจากเจ็บป่วยลาหยุดพักผ่อน โดยได้รับค่าจ้าง/เงินเดือน ไม่รวมคนงานที่ลางานเป็นระยะเวลานาน เช่น ลาไป รับราชการทหาร เป็นต้น
